NFL free agent, Johnny Manziel has reportedly trashed a Hollywood mansion. According to Emily Smith of Page Six, real estate broker Nicholas Goodwin said Manziel partied for two days straight at the Los Angeles property last week, leaving evidence of alcohol and drug use and causing $32,000 in damage.
This news only adds to the troubled quarterbacks laundry list of shenanigans over his short and overhyped NFL career. This has brought many to not only question the security of his NFL future but also the safety of his life. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, agent Drew Rosenhaus dropped Manziel as a client, saying:
“I have terminated the standard representation with Johnny Manziel in the hopes of helping him get the treatment I believe he needs. I have informed him that if he takes the immediate steps I have outlined for him that I will rescind the termination and continue to represent him. Otherwise the termination will become permanent. There is a five-day window for me to rescind the termination. I’m hoping he takes the necessary steps to get his life back on track.”
Given Manziels history over the last two years and his most recent antics in Hollywood it is difficult to believe that he will make a turn around.
Will Manziel be labeled as the NFL’s biggest bust in recent years or will he get the help he so desperately needs to make the turn around off the field? At this point it would be crazy to place a bet on him but only time will tell Manziels future personally and in the NFL.
